Board approves consent agenda, minutes and several routine items; Gittens abstains on June 8 minutes

For the minutes, the chair asked the clerk to call the roll; the clerk recorded Mr. Gittens's abstention on the June 8 minutes and the motion carried. For each committee package the clerk called the roll and recorded 'Yes' votes from members present; the motions carried.
Donations acknowledged: The board thanked the Beacon Regional Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Post 450 for donations toward the pre-K inclusive playground; James and Ann Marie Finnan for an instrument donation; and a local Stop & Shop for a senior breakfast donation.
After the votes: The board opened a second public-comment period (no speakers) and then voted to enter executive session to discuss the superintendent's evaluation and student matters; no public action was taken in executive session.
