Anthony McKee was named to oversee Light Up Pine Mountain and the town’s Christmas parade, and several logistical ideas were discussed at the April 13 work session.
Mayor Mullins suggested using a trailer as a stage and noted Tim Frazier had discussed offering his trailer for that use. The mayor also proposed placing a bouncy house on Broad Street so smaller children would have an activity. Justin and Amonzo said they had been discussing with Callaway the possibility of repurposing some of Callaway’s unused decorations for the town.
Chief Ferrone raised the question of the Police Department escorting Santa during Light Up Pine Mountain; the matter was discussed as an operational detail that would need follow-up by the department. No formal decisions or budget commitments were made at the work session; event planning roles and a request for further follow-up were recorded for the May council agenda or staff action.
