At its April 13, 2026 meeting the Pine Mountain Mayor and Council recorded several routine and procurement votes.
Acts of Council: Ms. Mabry moved to approve the Acts of Council for March as written; Mr. Pound seconded. The minutes report Mr. Trott, Mr. Scott and Mr. Bray voted in favor.
SPLOST checking account: Mr. Trott moved and Ms. Mabry seconded permission to open a checking account for the Meriwether County 2026 SPLOST at First Peoples Bank. The minutes record Mr. Scott, Mr. Bray and Mr. Pound voting in favor.
Lawn maintenance contract: Mr. Scott moved and Mr. Pound seconded awarding the lawn maintenance contract to Chuck's Lawn Service at $30,000 annually. The minutes record Mr. Trott, Mr. Bray and Ms. Mabry voted in favor.
Automatic doors for Town Hall: The council received a quote from Door Specialties Inc. to furnish and install a pair of low-energy automatic door operators and accessories at $7,415. Ms. Mabry moved to approve the quote and Mr. Scott seconded; Mr. Trott, Mr. Bray and Mr. Pound voted in favor.
Design-review relief and parking-space condition (Tammy Clarke): Council approved relief to allow Hardie planks on the front façade in place of stone, on motion by Mr. Bray. After discussion and a rescinded motion, Ms. Mabry moved (seconded by Mr. Pound) to allow four parking spaces instead of the five required for a restaurant classification, subject to conditions: attach a conceptual plan showing the smoothie area and limit the use to smoothies only unless the applicant returns for council approval. Mr. Trott, Mr. Scott and Mr. Bray voted in favor.
Why it matters: these votes finalize routine minutes, enable SPLOST fund handling, commit the town to regular maintenance spending, and set facility and design approvals that affect local businesses and town buildings.
Next steps: contract execution and administrative follow-up will be processed by staff; conditional approvals require the applicant to meet the stated conditions.
