Representative Hoadley testified in favor of House Bill 57 27, which would remove the state work-permit requirement under Michigan's Youth Employment Standards Act while preserving core protections such as hour limits and prohibited occupations. The committee adopted an H-4 drafting-correction substitute and reported the bill with a recorded committee vote that included six yeas, two nays and one pass.
