Underwood mayor and city staff report wastewater work, town-hall notice and administrative updates

Maintenance staff reported work has started on 3rd Avenue, and that McCarthy Trenching is pumping out a cell as part of the wastewater project; staff said they anticipate dirt work for a mini-dam will be complete next week if weather cooperates. These operational updates indicate ongoing field work on the city’s infrastructure projects.
City Administrator/Clerk Cindy Sorlien reported plans to test a scanner to reduce bank trips, told the council the administrator is authorized to attend a monthly board meeting during work hours, and said a cemetery report was completed with a new process, software and website. Council requested the city administrator order shirts for uniforms. Committee reports indicated none of the listed committees met prior to the meeting.
