Student liaisons outline student voice process and upcoming TMHS events

Two student liaisons presented the role of BOE liaisons, highlighted monthly Student Council processes and events at TMHS, and reported there were no student voice forms submitted for September.
Megan Nachtigall and Joshua Carlson, the student liaisons from TMHS, delivered the student liaison report during the Thompson Board of Education meeting on Sept. 9.
They explained the liaisons represent the TMHS student body in communications with the board, described the monthly student voice form process (students submit input, which is reviewed by Student Council and administration), and listed upcoming events including a National Honor Society assembly on Sept. 10, Senior College Planning Night on Sept. 12, ECC Leadership Workshop on Sept. 17, Freshman Class Elections on Sept. 18, Young Conductors Concert on Sept. 19, School Picture Day on Sept. 20 and Open House/Expo Night on Sept. 26. The liaisons reported there were no student voice forms for September.
The board had earlier voted to place administrator reports higher on the agenda so administrators — and student liaisons — could leave early when needed.
