Underwood City Council convened a special meeting on Nov. 24, 2025, that lasted about 20 minutes and resulted in unanimous approval of three financial resolutions. Mayor Pro Tem Jim Pingel called the meeting to order at 8 a.m. and the council adjourned at 8:20 a.m.
Councilmember JW Tiarks moved and Kelle Erwin seconded the agenda approval. Tiarks then moved, and Jodi Bose seconded, to adopt Resolution 25-11-02, approving the Urban Renewal Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025; the minutes record a roll-call vote listing Bose, Erwin, Madsen and Pingel as voting "Yes," and state the resolution was adopted 5-0 (Tiarks' name is not listed in that roll call text but the minutes show a unanimous adoption). Tiarks again moved and Bose seconded to adopt Resolution 25-11-11, the Annual Finance Report for FYE June 30, 2025; roll call recorded Madsen, Tiarks, Pingel, Erwin and Bose voting "Yes," and the resolution was adopted 5-0. Tiarks moved and Bose seconded to adopt Resolution 25-11-14 to increase bank account limits; the roll call recorded Bose, Erwin, Madsen, Tiarks and Pingel as voting "Yes" and the resolution was adopted.
The minutes list attendees as Councilmembers JW Tiarks, Kelle Erwin, Jodi Bose and Josh Madsen (participating by phone), plus Dave Powell and Cindy Sorlien. Cindy Sorlien attested to the minutes as City Administrator/Clerk; the minutes note they are subject to approval at the council's next regular meeting.
