Plane Brewing gets select-board approval to extend hours; planning board had cleared amendment

The Lyman Select Board voted June 22 to approve a minor contract-zone amendment allowing Plane Brewing to extend its hours of operation.
Lindsey Lett, co-owner of Plane Brewing, told the board the business seeks flexibility to open on additional days for events and earlier on special holidays; she also said Friday summer movie nights would require later closing times. The planning board reviewed the application on June 3 and voted 3–0 to modify hours to noon–11 p.m., seven days a week, with the condition that any future noise complaints would trigger a review.
A select-board member moved to approve the modification, another seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote. Staff will draft the formal amendment for signature at a later meeting and confirm the trustee and manager signatories required by the contract zone agreement.
The board noted that the business had already received a special amusement permit and that planning board approval included a reservation of review if complaints arise.
