In staff reports, Mayor Keethler noted that the City has purchased drones previously approved for use by the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department and that related policies are posted on the City website; a FAQ is in development. West Klickitat Regional Fire Authority Chief Wes Long said the RFA completed its first year, added two full-time employees, finished 2025 under budget, and will begin strategic planning and replacement of an aging fire engine serving White Salmon. Public Works Director Chris True reported the department is fully staffed after hiring two employees on Jan. 5.
