The Tecumseh Local Board of Education approved a package of personnel actions during its May 26 meeting, unanimously adopting the consent calendar that included resignations, new hires and additional summer hours for staff.
Under the consent calendar, the board accepted the resignation of Chris Hawk, an intervention specialist at Tecumseh High School, effective May 29, 2026, and the resignation of Jessica Hillery, a study hall monitor, effective May 28, 2026. The board also approved up to 30 additional summer hours for teacher Kristie Talley, to be paid at the teachers’ summer rate.
The board accepted Superintendent Paula Crew’s recommendations to employ a certified staff member on a one-year contract (listed as Laura Poe) and to employ classified staff on limited one-year contracts (Mechanic Mason Plank and James Teglas). All motions were approved by roll call (Ayes: Matlock-Mooney, Driscoll, Diller, Clark, and Matthew Mills), with no votes against.
The minutes do not record further discussion of the hires or resignations. Officials noted the board will meet next on June 30 at 6:00 p.m.
