Rebecca Holliman, chair of the Bentley Memorial Library Board, opened the Jan. 13 regular meeting at 4:00 p.m. and led the board in approving the minutes of the Nov. 18, 2025 meeting.
Library Director Liz Thomton told the board the library received a $1,000 donation and that the monthly budget is on track. Thomton reported several operational updates: Bibliomation completed a purge of expired and inactive patron records; the library received a new copier; collection levels are stable; and library programs are well attended.
Thomton also reported that patrons donated 65 blankets and about 30 hats to the MACC blanket collection and that the library's "Staff Picks" themed Christmas tree won fourth place at the Festival of Trees hosted by Bolton Congregational Church. She said Novus Insight is "working out the kinks" with a Windows 11 upgrade. The director told board members the completed budget has been submitted to the Town of Bolton; she will send copies to the board and notify members once the budget hearing date and time are known (not specified in the minutes).
A motion to approve the Nov. 18 minutes was made by Chair Rebecca Holliman and seconded by board member Claire Fazzina; the motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m. on a motion by board secretary Kelly Goldsnider, seconded by Loni Hryn; that motion also passed unanimously. The board's next regular meeting is scheduled for March 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
