"All the stadium lights are actually installed. They're ready to go. You can flip the switch and they light up the night sky," the superintendent said, noting he had not turned them on yet because of seasonal insects. The superintendent said the scoreboard was shipping from South Dakota on July 1 and installation was expected the second full week of July, subject to holiday shipping delays.
He reported that old north‑gym bleachers had been removed and new bleachers are staged for installation; asbestos abatement and gym‑floor refinishing are scheduled in the coming weeks. Civil engineers will inspect a hairline fracture found under an archway brick to confirm no structural damage; district insurance and vendor teams are coordinating repairs. Roofing work is behind by about two weeks due to scheduling; the contractor will add crews to avoid further delay.
The superintendent also described a trial of a robotic hillside mower (estimated cost below $5,000) to safely maintain steep campus slopes and reduce employee risk. Board members had no further questions during the update; these projects will continue through the summer.
