At its Nov. 23 meeting the Village of Robbins' Mayor and Board of Trustees took a series of formal actions summarized here.
Approved • Municode recodification and online ordinance service: $12,950. Motion moved by Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson and seconded by Trustees Gregory N. Jackson and George Brewton; roll call vote carried. • BB&A forensic audit engagement: Engagement with terms described as $200 per hour; work to pause at $10,000 and not to exceed $25,000 without further board action. Ms. Benford will work under the direction of Mr. Kemp, the village administrator and Trustee Brewton. Motion approved by roll call. • Axon purchasing and services agreement (body cameras, tasers, evidence management): $59,993.81 per year for five years, total $299,969.06. Motion moved by Trustee Ernest Maxey Jr.; approved by roll call.
Tabled • First Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) for parcel acquisition related to Midlothian Creek flood control: Motion to approve failed for lack of a second; Trustee George Brewton moved to table and the board voted to table the matter. • Agreement between the Cook County Land Bank Authority (CCLBA) and the Village for purchase and sale of parcels tied to the same project: tabled by motion.
Other formal actions • Acceptance of the treasurer's report for Oct. 31, 2021: motion carried; balances read into the record. • Approval of minutes from Oct. 26 and Oct. 31, 2021: motion carried.
Each approved item passed by roll-call vote with ayes recorded for Trustees Maxey, Dyson, Brewton, Robinson, Jackson and Collier on those items. For the MWRD/CCLBA items, the board requested additional information and written clarifications from MWRD before reconsideration. Several residents raised concerns during public comment that tabling the MWRD matter could threaten related deadlines and funding availability.
