Browerville council approves consent agenda, departmental reports and multiple resolutions

The Browerville City Council on July 9 approved a series of routine items and several resolutions during a 7:00 p.m. meeting at City Hall.

Council approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from the June 11, 2025 meeting and a payment of electronic debits and checks for 06/12/25–07/09/25 (checks 51688–51769) totaling $838,759.28. Christopher Minor moved to approve the consent agenda; Sue Wiersgalla seconded and the minutes record "CU."

Department reports were received and approved on a motion by Joshua Goertz, seconded by Madison Rickbeil (CU). Reports included a liquor store monthly financial report; Public Works noted a water shut-off tampering incident and that the resident will be billed for excavation and parts; the Ambulance report noted that Metro Billing has billed services that were not billed by Expert Billing, and the minutes state Expert Billing has not responded to requests and has disconnected phone lines; Todd County provided the Public Safety monthly report and reported contracted hours were met; Administration provided fund status and nuisance notices.

The council approved Resolution 20250709-3 acknowledging donations received in June (moved by Madison Rickbeil, seconded by Sue Wiersgalla), and approved Resolution 20250709-4 to sponsor the Community Concern for Youth program in 2026 (moved by Mayor Hannah Wieshalla, seconded by Madison Rickbeil). The council also approved an amendment to Ordinance 09-03-13 concerning conditions on residential use in the Central Business District (moved by Madison Rickbeil, seconded by Joshua Goertz); the minutes do not include the specific amendment language.
