Board approves Kossuth County drainage assessments, reviews manure plans and courthouse flagholders

At its June 16 meeting the Emmet County Board of Supervisors approved joint drainage assessments received from Kossuth County and handled several routine administrative items.
Supervisor John Pluth moved and Supervisor Tim Schumacher seconded approval of the joint drainage assessments: Tri #84 assessment to Emmet County landowners of $1,881.24 and EK #4 assessment to all landowners of $543.21. The motion carried with all ayes.
The board reviewed manure management plans for two facilities: Nathan Howard (site #69353) and Spencer Love (site #68485). Auditor Heidi Goebel reminded supervisors that drainage records will be moved to the West Administration building on June 23 after the supervisor meeting.
Perry Russell of Avenue of Flags joined the meeting to discuss courthouse in‑ground flag holders and said a different holder design will be needed before next year. Separately, the board approved earlier meeting minutes (motion by John Pluth, second by Todd Glasnapp) and handled routine agenda items and committee updates.
The meeting adjourned at 10:13 a.m. on a motion by Jeff Quastad, seconded by Tim Schumacher; all ayes were recorded.
