At its June 11 meeting, the Village of Saranac Lake Downtown Advisory Board appointed members to leadership positions and set a regular meeting cadence for the coming year.
The board agreed to name Jerry Michael as chair, Kathy Steinbrueck as co-chair and Rachel Karp as secretary. Members also agreed the board will meet the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Village Board room; locations for Summer Walk & Talks will be announced a week in advance. The minutes do not list a mover/second or a vote tally for the appointments.
The board noted that member Josh King intends to submit a resignation, and asked village staff to post a vacancy announcement on social media and the village website including qualifications for prospective applicants. Jerry Michael and Kathy Steinbrueck said they will continue representing the board on the Community Enhancement Fund committee through the summer unless a replacement is named.
The minutes record standard procedural items including approval of the May monthly report, but provide no further details about recruitment timelines or eligibility criteria beyond the instruction to post qualifications.
