Toledo council approves ordinance vacating 110 feet of alley in Stone & Harrison addition

The Toledo City Council approved Ordinance 2025-04 July 28 to vacate 110 feet of alley running north–south between lots 1, 2, 7 and 8 of block 13 in Stone & Harrison’s addition to Toledo.
Mayor Brian Thish Sokol opened a public hearing on the proposed alley vacation and recorded that no written or oral comments had been submitted to the clerk. After closing the hearing, Councilmember Pansegrau moved to approve Ordinance 2025-04; Councilmember Cook seconded. The minutes show the ordinance passed on roll call with all present voicing aye.
Cook then moved to adopt Resolution 2025-11 waiving second and third readings of Ordinance 2025-04; Pansegrau seconded and the resolution passed unanimously. Vesely moved to set a public hearing to consider selling the vacated alley at the council’s Aug. 11 meeting; Cook seconded and the motion carried.
The ordinance text in the minutes identifies the exact lots and distance (110 feet) to be vacated. The minutes record no public opposition at the hearing and no additional conditions attached to the approval; the council scheduled a sale hearing for the next meeting.
