Stormwater Utility Committee approves three construction contracts and February disbursements

The Kenosha Stormwater Utility Committee on March 9 approved minutes from its Feb. 23 meeting, awarded three construction contracts and approved the committee’s February 2026 disbursements.

The committee moved, seconded and voted to approve Item 1 — a $446,300 contract for Project 26-1042 (45th Street resurfacing) to Lon Contractors Incorporated — along with Item 2, a $442,500 contract for Project 26-1207 (sidewalk and curb gutter program north) to Beardsley Concrete LLC, and Item 3, a $550,300 contract for Project 26-1208 (sidewalk and curb gutter program south) to Forward Contractors. Item 4, the disbursements for February 2026, was also approved. The motion to approve items 1–4 was made, seconded and carried by the committee.

The clerk asked city staff if there was any additional information about the resurfacing contract; staff responded that there was none. The meeting record shows the clerk calling the votes and recording the motion as passed. The transcript does not record individual roll-call votes or named yes/no votes for the motions; the committee recorded the motion as approved.

Public comment was solicited at the start of the meeting but no members of the public spoke. Following routine approvals and the contract awards, a motion to adjourn was made and approved.

The meeting convened with roll call listing Chairperson Bill Seal; Vice Chairperson Brandon Fareed; and Alderpersons Patty Keeling, Anthony Kennedy, Jack Rose and Dominic Ruffalo. The clerk presided over the procedural items. No ordinances, resolutions or policy changes were proposed during this session.
