A staff member said the engineering contracts are the next step after securing the $4,000,000 grants and will allow authority staff to begin the bid process. "This is for that $4,000,000 grant I got, 2 years ago. We're finally getting to that stage where ... we can proceed to start the bid process," a member said.
Trustees approved the agreements by roll call. The authority noted the USDA grants will be administered through the Native American set-aside program and that engineering fees will be reimbursed through the grant when projects are executed.
No project start dates were announced at the meeting; staff will proceed with contract execution and prepare bid documents as required by USDA grant terms.
