Hibbing board approves resignations, hires and job postings in consent agenda

Under the consent agenda, the board accepted resignations from Tobias Reckmeyer (assistant boys’ soccer coach), Heather Matvey (girls’ head junior high track and field coach), Katie Mickelson (pupil support assistant at Washington Early Learning Center), Jen Boboen (assistant girls’ softball coach), and Denise Friend (pupil support assistant at Washington Elementary). The minutes list the effective dates provided by staff.
The board approved hires including Daniel Pierce as the 7th/8th grade wrestling coach (effective Nov. 24, 2025), and later approved Trinity Hemmila as a 1.0 FTE occupational therapist and M’kayla Kessler as a 1.0 FTE Title I teacher at Lincoln Middle School, both effective Jan. 5, 2026. The board also approved the posting of multiple jobs (pupil support assistant positions, a custodial posting, and a resource room supervisor) and the transfer of Morgan Dobson to a pupil support assistant position.
Director McLaughlin moved to approve the consent agenda and Director Gabardi supported the motion; the board approved the consent agenda unanimously. The consent items incorporated the Nov. 19, 2025 minutes and the personnel actions listed above.
