Hibbing school board approves FY2025 audit and Comprehensive Achievement report; schedules Dec. 17 working session

The Hibbing Public School District Board of Education approved the fiscal year 2025 audit and the Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness Report during its Dec. 10 regular meeting.
Director Jeff Polcher moved to approve the fiscal year 2025 audit financial report; Director Egan supported the motion, and the board carried it unanimously. The audit had been presented to the board earlier in the meeting by Sterle & Co.
Director McLaughlin moved to approve the Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness Report, with Director Polcher supporting; the motion passed unanimously. The report was presented as part of the board’s administrative business and reflects the district’s academic and civic-readiness measures for the 2024–25 period.
The board also voted to hold a working session on Dec. 17, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and to cancel the optional regular meeting set for Dec. 17 at 3:30 p.m.; the scheduling motion was moved by Director Polcher and supported by Director Egan and carried unanimously.
The board opened and closed the public comment period with no speakers. The meeting was called to order by Chair John Berklich at 4:00 p.m. and adjourned at 5:37 p.m.
