Toledo council approves consent agenda, certifies liens and adopts claims totaling $187,970.69

The Toledo City Council approved its consent agenda and financial reports at a regular meeting Nov. 10.

Mayor Sokol called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and presiding over roll call that recorded Council members Cook, Vesely, Pansegrau, Boll and Goodhart as present. The council approved removing a $1,200 mowing lien at 207 N Church because of an impending sale after Council member Vesely moved to approve and Cook seconded; the motion carried on a voice vote with all present voicing ayes.

The clerk presented the claims report showing invoices from Oct. 28 through Nov. 10, 2025, in the amount of $150,729.45 and payroll totaling $37,241.24, bringing the meeting’s reported expenditures to $187,970.69. The claims list included vendor payments such as generator maintenance ($2,775.00), an $8,740.00 payment for bandstand labor and materials, an FY25 audit fee of $8,500.00, and equipment and service items across multiple departments. The minutes list the full schedule of line items as provided at the meeting.

Council certified liens reported by the clerk including 401 S Broadway for $810.60 (utilities) and 504 S Church for $2,200.00; the previously noted lien at 207 N Church was removed. The meeting record also noted three building permits (2025-50, 2025-51, 2025-52) and a Class C retail alcohol license renewal for Flaming Office.

The council adjourned the regular meeting at 5:55 p.m. and immediately convened a work session. The council is scheduled to reconvene at its next regular meeting where any tabling or follow-up items will be taken up.
