CCRPC Executive Committee approves Act 250 comment letter for Hinesburg wastewater upgrades

The CCRPC Executive Committee voted on June 2 to approve an Act 250 comment letter regarding the Town of Hinesburg’s Application #4C1336 for phase‑one upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant at 290 Lagoon Road.
Regina Mahony, planning manager, told members the CCRPC reviewed project materials and determined the upgrades conform to the planning areas described in the 2018 Chittenden County ECOS Plan, including consistency with water‑quality strategies to meet the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) phosphorus reduction goals for Lake Champlain. Regina said staff based comments on information currently available and that additional comments may be submitted as the project proceeds.
John Zicconi moved and Bard Hill seconded approval of the letter to Rachel Lomonaco, District #4 Coordinator; the motion carried unanimously. Staff will forward the letter to the District Coordinator and the Board will receive the comment as a formal packet item.
