CCRPC Executive Committee recommends FY22–25 TIP be warned for public hearing

Transportation program staff recommended the Draft FY22–25 TIP be sent to the Board for a public hearing in June and final approval in July; the Executive Committee unanimously recommended the Board warn a hearing and approve the TIP at the July meeting.
The CCRPC Executive Committee on June 2 recommended the Draft FY22–25 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) be warned for a public hearing at the June Board meeting and approved at the July Board meeting.
Eleni Churchill, transportation program manager, reviewed the TIP documents and staff memo, and emphasized that the TIP is a planning document subject to shifting construction schedules. She also reported that Christine Forde informed TAC members that the TIP is projected to show significantly higher funds in upcoming years as several large projects converge.
John Zicconi moved and Bard Hill seconded a motion that the Executive Committee recommend the Board warn a public hearing and approve the FY22–25 TIP at the July Board meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
The committee noted that the TIP values submitted to VTrans will be used for statewide ranking and that some regionally recommended projects could be programmed for later years of the capital program. CCRPC staff will forward the TIP recommendations and transportation values to VTrans for their FY23–27 capital programming process.
