Superintendent Dr. Willet told the board that the Tolland Public Library will host monthly exhibits of student artwork, with an opening reception for each show to allow parents and guardians to view student pieces.
Dr. Willet read the names of contributing students and encouraged the public to visit the library to see the displays. He said the first exhibit for the month had an opening on Oct. 8 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and that the district will announce future dates on the board dashboard and social channels.
The superintendent and a board member discussed whether the district can photograph featured works to display them during board meetings for those unable to visit the library. The children's librarian (referred to as Megan during the meeting) helped organize the program, according to the discussion.
Next steps: The board asked that dates be included under public points of information so the community can find upcoming exhibits.
