The meeting record states no increase to sewer rates was proposed at this time because the council expects additional sewer revenue—about $18,000 annually—from Ridge Haven Cono connecting to city sewer processing.
Finance Director and City Clerk Connie Helms recommended making the changes effective Dec. 1, 2025, to align the utility changes with a $0.50 per month increase in the city’s garbage contract. The council instructed Helms to prepare an ordinance for final review and to set a public hearing at the council’s August meeting.
