Selectmen liaison flags reappointments, hearings and budget workshop at commission meeting

Diana Yeisley, the Board of Selectmen liaison to the Simsbury Aging and Disability Commission, used the commission’s Jan. 20 meeting to outline several town actions and deadlines.
Yeisley said commissioner reappointments are on the Jan. 24 Board of Selectmen agenda and highlighted nearby public hearings: a Conservation and Wetlands hearing concerning McLean at 7:00 P.M. at the Library and a charter‑revision hearing on Jan. 21 at 6:00 P.M. She also noted a Jan. 24 referendum (6:00 A.M.–8:00 P.M.) on requests for additional SPAC funding from capital reserves.
Yeisley reminded commissioners that town budget season is underway and that a workshop with selected board members, town staff and the Finance Director is scheduled for Feb. 21, 9:00 A.M.–2:00 P.M. at Town Hall. She also reported the town is updating its website, that the 250th Anniversary Celebration Parade is scheduled for July 11, and that a Public Safety Newsletter will be published soon.
