Resolution 2026‑056 (land swap) — Approved unanimously. The resolution authorizes the city manager to negotiate and execute a land swap of roughly 0.45 acres of equal size in the Forest Acres/Frog Neck subdivision with Fog Neck logging to create legal cul‑de‑sacs and improve required rights‑of‑way. Administration said costs would be minimal and that a new plat is required.
Resolution 2026‑057 (pool funding) — Approved unanimously. The council authorized an intergovernmental agreement to provide $200,000 annually to support operation of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District pool serving Seward; administration explained the funding is to cover staffing and utilities, requires a minimum of 25 public hours per week, and stipulates any year‑end reserve above $75,000 offsets the city’s contribution.
Resolution 2026‑058 (dozer repairs) — Approved unanimously. The council authorized the city manager to approve additional repairs from NC Machinery for the CAT D6 dozer following ocean immersion in an amount not to exceed $90,000 and appropriate funds. Public Works reported insurance proceeds are in the motor pool and that the actual additional spend is expected to be well below the authorized cap.
Votes were recorded on the floor by roll call; the clerk announced unanimous yes votes for all present members on each measure.
