CCRPC finds no land-use issues with O’Brien Eastview subdivision, approves Act 250 comment letter

The Executive Committee reviewed an Act 250 and Section 248 application for O’Brien Eastview, LLC in South Burlington and approved sending an application letter summarizing CCRPC’s findings.
Taylor Newton, Planning Program Manager, referred members to the application packet and said the CCRPC "has no issues in terms of land use perspectives or Criterion 5" and found no problems regarding impacts to safety or capacity. He described the project as development of approximately 102 acres including subdivision into 42 new lots, construction of 155 dwelling units and infrastructure improvements including 7,608 feet of roadways, recreation paths and sidewalks. He also noted the City of South Burlington Planning Commission has approved the project and CCRPC found it in conformance with the Planning Areas defined in the 2018 Chittenden County ECOS Plan.
Chris Shaw moved and Bard Hill seconded a motion to approve the Act 250 application letter as presented; the motion carried unanimously.
Next steps: CCRPC will transmit the application letter as part of the Act 250/Section 248 review record.
