Board members noted internships and postsecondary opportunities that competition experience creates.
- Consent agenda: Minutes, personnel items, bills and classroom-space items were approved after separating travel items for discussion.
- Policy readings: Multiple board policies were presented for second reading and many more for first reading as part of the district’s scheduled policy review. Board members requested additional legal wording on superintendent vs. board employment authority and will get counsel guidance.
Motions carried as recorded on the agenda. Administration will follow up on contingency planning for travel and on legal wording for policy revisions.
