HR committee reports hires and school-security reorganization; board to consider recommended appointments

Mrs. Mayor summarized the Human Resources Committee meeting held June 16 and said the committee addressed confidential personnel matters and the Technology Services and Solutions organizational chart.
"The director of school security will be removed from PHS into a more centralized location," Mrs. Mayor said, adding that a recommendation to hire a replacement at Parsippany High School will appear on a future agenda. She said an assistant principal/athletic director search committee was formed and a recommendation will be submitted for approval.
Mrs. Mayor listed open and recommended positions: a school RN/nurse, a behaviorist, an assistant field-hockey coach at Parsippany High School, a maintenance position, four long-term substitutes and five professional paraprofessional positions. She said most open teaching positions for 2026–27 have been filled or have recommendations pending, and that the district is in good shape to start the fall.
The board did not take public action on personnel items during the meeting; members were asked to indicate if any HR matters should be discussed in closed session.
