CRRPC reviews South Village Communities Act 250 application for South Burlington subdivision

Regina Mahony, planning program manager, presented an Act 250 application (4C1160R-11) for South Village Communities LLC at the Dec. 1 meeting of the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission Joint Executive & Finance Committee.
The application covers parcels at 55 Allen Road East, 161 Allen Road East and 230 Preserve Road in South Burlington and proposes boundary line adjustments for Lots 63, 11, 11A, 11B, 48 and 48N; subdivision of Lot 11 into three lots and Lot 48N into five lots; and the construction of 11 duplex residential buildings on Lot 11 and four duplex buildings on Lot 48N with supporting infrastructure. Two lots are proposed to become open space and an agricultural leasehold would be enlarged.
Mahony told members the project is located within the Suburban Planning Area as defined in the Chittenden County ECOS Plan. She said CCRPC staff find the proposal consistent with the Planning Areas of the 2018 Chittenden County ECOS Plan but emphasized that comments were based on limited information and that additional comments may be provided as the process continues. Mike O'Brien recused himself from the Act 250 portion of the meeting.
No formal committee vote on the Act 250 consistency finding is recorded in the minutes; the application will proceed through the District Coordinator process and the CCRPC may provide further input as the review continues.
