Board appoints election judges for Nov. 4 special election and names three student schoolboard members

The Fairmont Area School District board approved a resolution appointing individuals listed in the meeting appendix to serve as election judges for the Nov. 4, 2025 school district special election at the polling places listed (Columbus and Fairmont). The resolution states the judges will act as clerks, count ballots and submit results for the board’s canvas.

The board also approved appointing three student schoolboard members for the 2025–26 school year: Wendy Medina Ambrosio, Bel Lutterman, and Emma Pocris. Superintendent Trad said he met with the new representatives; Wendy introduced herself briefly, saying she is a senior and participates in activities including chairing and playing violin.
The student representatives will participate in board work throughout the school year; the board welcomed them and noted they will hear more from the students as the year proceeds.
