The staff member said the equipment will be new — not hand-me-downs — and that agencies purchased the same systems to get better pricing. A council member moved to approve the purchase; a second was recorded and the motion carried.
City staff did not name the selected vendor in the public remarks and did not provide a copy of the vendor quote during the meeting. The staff presentation emphasized that the procurement covers equipment only; installation or related services were not decided in this vote.
