City Engineer Jared Griffith recommended approval of pay estimate number 19 for the Wastewater Regionalization Project. "The pay estimate is the amount of $229,200," Jared Griffith said, and staff reported the Lang lift station work is progressing with a targeted start-up date around the 23rd for testing and commissioning.
Council members asked whether start-up meant testing or full service; staff clarified the immediate phase is testing pumps, generators and controls to ensure systems operate as designed. Contractors have a punch list of minor restoration items from recent rain events that will be completed prior to final acceptance.
The council moved to approve pay estimate No. 19; the motion carried. Staff said chemical deliveries are scheduled and they are anticipating start-up of the entire system in August, with an inventory and final punch-list work to follow.
