The Rochester Hills City Council handled several routine administrative items on June 22, confirming reappointments and approving procurement actions.
Council confirmed Mayor Barnett's reappointments of Scott Hunter and Thomas Pozzolo to the Advisory Traffic and Safety Board for three-year terms expiring June 30, 2029. The motion was moved and seconded and accepted by voice vote.
Separately, the council authorized a $16,000 increase to the existing three-year blanket purchase order for citywide printing services with Image Printing Ink (Royal Oak) to fund two public education mailers for the August 4 ballot questions (the pathway millage renewal and a proposed fire department millage increase). The increase brings the three-year not-to-exceed amount to $426,340; staff said the pathway printing costs were included in the 2026 budget while the fire millage printing will be drawn from general fund balance.
Finally, the council approved a three-year janitorial-services contract with AmeriClean Inc. (Chesterfield Township) not to exceed $512,734, with council members praising the vendor's performance at city facilities. All items were approved by voice votes.
