Representative Brownlee presents State Auditor award to Loveland City School District, praises treasurer

Representative Brownlee attended the Loveland City School Board meeting to present the Auditor of State Award with Distinction to the Loveland City School District and to commend the district’s fiscal stewardship.

"This remarkable achievement reflects the district's unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sound stewardship of public resources," the representative said while reading the award citation. She praised Treasurer John Espy and the financial team, saying their work helps direct resources toward students.

Board members thanked the representative and noted the award also recognized superintendent Broadwater and other district staff for collaborative work. The presentation included photos and brief remarks from board leaders. The board did not take an action vote on the award; it was a recognition on the agenda under the board president’s report.

Representative Brownlee also noted she and the House had passed a resolution recognizing the district’s accomplishment and that she is available to assist districts in the region.

The presentation concluded with board expressions of gratitude and applause.
