Council rebids reconstruction project, removes 8th Street sidewalk alternate

Council voted to approve Resolution 2025‑18, which adopts the revised plans and orders re‑advertising with the 8th Street sidewalk alternate removed so the project can proceed to rebid and construction planning.

The engineer noted schedule changes as well: contractors can begin this year but are not required to finish all reconstruction in 2025; any work deferred to next year must meet mid‑July deadlines for certain items. Council and staff said they will monitor schedule and budget during the rebid process.
