The Pennridge Regional Police Commission received an accreditation plaque on May 27, when Jim Adams of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association presented the recognition to Chief Paul T. Dickinson Jr.
The accreditation plaque marks the Pennridge Regional Police Department as one of 209 accredited agencies in Pennsylvania, Adams said during the presentation. Chief Dickinson then recognized officers for years of service and investigative work: five-year acknowledgments went to Officers Samantha Adams, Nathan Alcott, Russell Closs, Stephanie Kolb and Nicholas Windfelder; ten-year recognition went to Detective Richard Dean and Sergeant Pedro Ruiz; investigative awards were given to Officer Courtney Truppay, Officer Nathan Alcott and Detective Richard Dean.
The commission meeting began at 5:00 PM with Commissioner Jay Keyser calling the meeting to order and leading the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes list attendees including commissioners Jay Keyser, Hal Schirmer and Gary Volovnik and municipal managers from East Rockhill and West Rockhill townships. No members of the public spoke during the citizen comment period, which the minutes record as empty.
An announcement noted that an executive session would follow the public meeting to discuss personnel matters. Later in the meeting Commissioner Gary Volovnik moved to adjourn; Commissioner Hal Schirmer seconded the motion. With no additional discussion, the commission adjourned into executive session at 5:39 PM to address personnel issues.
The minutes for the meeting were submitted by Chief Paul T. Dickinson Jr. and are recorded as the official minutes for May 27, 2026. No formal votes on ordinances or budgets were recorded in the public minutes.
