Staff to recommend consultant for Shorewood Parks Master Plan; Council review planned

Parks and Recreation Manager Czech told the Park Commission that the City issued a Parks Master Plan RFP in February, received six proposals, conducted internal evaluations and interviewed three finalist firms last week. Staff intends to bring a recommendation to City Council at the next meeting to select a consultant to lead the Parks Master Plan update.
Manager Czech said staff identified a single firm that ‘‘seemed to fit the City’s needs’’ and will present that recommendation to Council. The commission did not vote on a firm at this meeting; the next procedural step is the Council consideration of staff’s recommendation.
No budgetary details or contract amounts were discussed during the update; Manager Czech said staff will bring a formal recommendation to Council for approval.
