Silver Creek Township supervisors approve $12,070 carpet and concrete contract, authorize driveway in right-of-way

During the Clerk-Treasurer report the board approved a "MN bid" check for $118.68 and reviewed fund balances. The minutes list fund totals as follows: General $120,209.19 → $82,559.76; Road & Bridge $593,689.96 → $569,708.31; Contingency $113,882.13; Fire $74,738.95; Petty Cash $310.00 → $232.00; Total $902,520.23 → $841,121.15. The minutes note $78 in petty-cash was used for postage (stamps).
Under old business the board agreed that annual audit reports will be posted on the township website; the minutes state the annual audit is mandatory. Supervisor Andy Christensen moved to adopt the credit card policy as written, Supervisor Ryan Nelson seconded, and the motion carried, 3-0.
On a new-business motion, the board authorized Shellquist to place a driveway in the township right-of-way to connect three properties to a new road. Chairman Mike Helman moved the authorization, Supervisor Andy Christensen seconded, and the motion carried, 3-0. The minutes state that a petition from eight residents and a public hearing will be required to vacate the road and right-of-way — the vacation and any hearing are separate procedural steps and were not completed at this meeting.
Supervisor Andy Christensen reported he met with Monticello Fire and the City and said there is a $689 reduction in the township's 2025 contract; the minutes note two years remain on the current contract.
The board adjourned after a motion from Supervisor Ryan Nelson, seconded by Supervisor Andy Christensen, which carried 3-0.
