Adams County board renews three liquor licenses, finds no violations

The Alcoholic Beverage Board of Adams County voted to renew three liquor licenses at its Dec. 23, 2025 meeting, approving continued permits for American Legion Post 468 (Burn, Indiana), Chote’s Riverview LLC d/b/a Chote’s Mexican Grill, and Decatur Pizza Hut.
The board, which met at 9:00 a.m., listed the three renewal applications and confirmed that no remonstrators or violations were reported for the Decatur Pizza Hut renewal. Chair opened the renewals portion and said, “With no violations, I’ll entertain a motion,” prompting a motion to approve the renewals.
Pete Brown, a board member, made the motion to approve the three renewals and fellow board member Toby Springer seconded. The board voted in favor and the motion carried; the licenses were renewed. Board membership on the record for the meeting included Pete Brown, Toby Springer, John Kent and Dan Venberg.
The board noted that applicants without violations do not need to attend future renewal hearings unless they have questions or violations to report. The meeting then moved on to a transfer matter and later adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
