The Woodstock Academy Board of Trustees on Oct. 21 heard a fiscal update from Chief Finance and Operating Officer Hans Rhynhart outlining ongoing efforts to reduce an anticipated budgetary shortfall for 2025–26.
Rhynhart reviewed the school’s Profit and Loss report and said administration is monitoring the situation and working with department heads to align expenses and revenues. He told trustees that Oct. 1 enrollment figures being used for 2026–27 planning reflect a projected decline of 18 regular-education students and 7 special-education students, figures that will lower sending-town revenue for the next budget cycle.
Rhynhart also provided a facilities update on the Loos parking lot project, saying planning is well underway, the contractor agreement should be signed soon and a start date is set for June 22, 2026. He said the parking lot is planned to be operational by the upcoming fall semester. The board did not request follow-up questions during the meeting.
Rhynhart reported the auditing team for the 2024–2025 audit is expected to visit campus soon. No formal board action was requested or taken on the budget items at the meeting.
