The Corydon Town Council voted to award the ADA sidewalk contract at the Courthouse/Elm/East Walnut corner to CNR Construction, the lowest responsible bidder at $14,690, after reviewing three quotes.
Manager Bruce also presented progress photos showing concrete pours, curbing and parking-area work for the skate park site and said site work by CNR is nearly complete; final grading and fencing remain and park builders were expected later in the construction season.
On storm-related building damage, the manager said the total estimate is about $497,000 with a $10,000 deductible. Council discussed whether to package repairs as one large bid or break the work into smaller lots to increase contractor interest. The insurer has asked to review bids, and the manager said staff will return with a plan and options for how to sequence repairs and involve the insurer.
Council directed staff to return with recommendations on bidding strategy and prioritization of repairs.
