At the Oct. 22 meeting Dean of Academics Dr. Michael Harten presented the annual Academic Report to trustees, highlighting several markers of student achievement.
The report noted a 99% graduation rate for the class of 2023–24 and that The Woodstock Academy was named to the College Board AP School Honor Roll for the first time. The minutes also record that the school has been named an Apple Distinguished School for 2024–2027, and that Apple Distinguished School representatives plan to visit in March. Trustees discussed SAT-score analysis and improvement strategies presented by Harten.
Written October updates distributed with the minutes list recent student recognitions (honor-society inductions, scholar-athlete awards, and a Gatorade Player of the Year selection) and a schedule of upcoming events, including Giving Day on Nov. 12, a Loos Center performance season, and the annual holiday gathering on Dec. 8. Trustees discussed possibly consolidating honor society inductions to invite Board members to attend.
