The Town of Marlborough Cemetery Committee met June 18 and approved the May 21, 2026 minutes, voted to omit personal information from future meeting minutes, and added an agenda item to accept expenses related to a marker move.
At the opening of the meeting, Sheila Guzman moved to accept the May 21 minutes; John Larensen seconded and the committee voted unanimously in favor. Kris Hudock then moved that meeting minutes omit personal information; Joan Christmas seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Hudock also moved to add agenda item 6B, “Accept Expenses”; Sheila Guzman seconded and the committee approved adding that item to the agenda. Under that agenda item the committee recorded that the family had signed an agreement to move the marker on plot 3116: the town will pay the cost to move the foundation while the family will cover remaining expenses. The transcript does not record a formal roll-call vote on the expense allocation; the agreement and cost allocation were recorded in the minutes.
Under unfinished business the commission reviewed and revised cemetery rules and regulations and directed the sexton to present the proposed changes to the Town Manager. The commission also discussed creating a dedicated sexton contact (email and/or phone) for the town website; Zephyr Griffore will raise that with the Town Manager. Kris Hudock proposed meeting on October 5, 2026 to sort and address containment or disposal of flags stored in the vault.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:08 a.m. after John Larensen moved to adjourn and Sheila Guzman seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Minutes are recorded as draft until approved at a subsequent meeting.
