"We will look at enrollment and positions," Smith said regarding hiring priorities.
On the assistant superintendent search, Smith said the district has received 14 complete applications. The posting closes April 23; first‑round interviews are scheduled for April 30, with a second round the first week of May. Smith said the board could expect a candidate for approval at the May board meeting. Smith also confirmed referendum polling hours and locations when asked by board member Dan Kelley (polling April 28, 12 p.m.–8 p.m.; St. Michael's Church in Pawcatuck and the Borough Fire Station were named as locations).
