Badger council approves new city website, workers compensation and autopay for fire department

The Badger City Council met March 19, 2025, at the Badger Community Center and approved a series of routine motions by unanimous consent that will affect city operations and vendor payments.
Council member A. Gregerson moved to add agenda item 7.1, “Badger All School Reunion,” to the agenda; R. Dostal seconded and the motion carried by unanimous consent. The council then approved two added claims, #19037 and #19038, totaling $16,165.94 after a motion by C. Christianson and a second from A. Gregerson.
In new business the council accepted a Workers Compensation coverage quote (WSI). Council member A. Gregerson moved to approve the coverage; G. Lee seconded and the motion passed by unanimous consent.
Clerk/Treasurer A. Swenson presented a website proposal and quote from Municipal Impact, a firm noted in the presentation for having built nearby municipal sites. Council member A. Gregerson moved to approve Municipal Impact to build the City of Badger website; C. Christianson seconded and the motion was approved by unanimous consent.
Swenson also requested that the Badger Fire Department’s Wiktel bill be placed on autopay, handled similarly to the city office bill. A. Gregerson moved to approve autopay for the Wiktel bill; R. Dostal seconded and the motion passed by unanimous consent.
The meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m. following a motion by C. Christianson, seconded by A. Gregerson.
