Council adopts agenda, consent calendar, accepts Byrne JAG grant and receives staff reports

At its April 21, 2026 meeting, the City Council of Covina took several formal actions by roll call.
The council first approved the agenda by motion (mover: Council Member King; second: Mayor Pro Tem Cortez) and then adopted the consent calendar (items CC-1 through CC-7) by a single motion (mover: Mayor Pro Tem Cortez; second: Council Member Walter Allen). The mayor highlighted several consent items, including a water-supply strategy (CC-4) and continued public-art installations (CC-6).
On a public hearing item, the council voted to accept and file the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant.
