Wickliffe approves pavement contracts, sewer assessments and FY27 tax budget

At its June 22 meeting Wickliffe City Council approved multiple procurement and budget items tied to the 2026 pavement repair program and the city’s fiscal planning.
Council accepted Ronyak Paving as the low bidder for Contract B (asphalt resurfacing) with a low bid of approximately $1.024 million and authorized the law director to prepare legislation for the mayor to enter into a contract. For Contract C (concrete slab replacement) Council accepted TC Construction’s low bid of $70,580 and similarly authorized contract legislation.
Council also adopted Ordinance 2026‑33 levying assessments for unpaid delinquent sewer amounts on affected parcels and adopted Resolution 2026‑10, the city’s tax budget for fiscal year 2027, which will be submitted to the Lake County auditor. The paving contracts were placed on third and final reading and adopted as ordinances 2026‑37 and 2026‑38.
Council members recorded roll‑call votes for each suspension and final adoption; the motions to accept the low bids and adopt ordinances passed and the clerk recorded the results in the meeting minutes. The administration said Ronyak and TC Construction were qualified bidders with prior work in the area.
The city engineer and service director advised work will proceed following contract execution and scheduling, with some work anticipated shortly after the July holiday pending weather and contractor availability.
